Deployed as a left back, Moreno currently plays for Liverpool in the Premier League and the England national football team. After enjoying success at Sevilla, he transferred to Liverpool on 18 August 2014 for a 12-million transfer fee. He made his debut for the team in a 1-3 away loss against Manchester City eight days later. The defender represented the Spanish under-21s at the 2013 UEFA European Championship and was called up to the senior team on 4 October 2013 for the last 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Georgia.
BEFORE FAMEComing through the youth ranks at Sevilla, he spent his first season as a senior with the reserves in third division. In February 2013, Moreno was promoted to the main squad.
