Tennis star who was the first African-American member of the Davis Cup tennis team. He won three Grand Slams during his career: the 1968 US Open, the 1970 Australian Open, and the 1975 Wimbledon tournament.He reached the quarterfinals of the French Open in 1970 and 1971, but it remained the only Grand Slam he never won during his career.He beat Jimmy Connors in the 1975 Wimbledon final match.
