Awal Ashaari

Awal Ashaari, born Ahmad Awaluddin Ashaari, is a Malaysian actor, model and TV host who rose to fame when passing FCUK's model search competition in the late 2004, hosting Beat TV on Astro Ria and playing in various films like Impak Maksima (2007), I'm Not Single (2008) and Syurga Cinta (2009). 

After attending Methodist Boys' School, Kuala Lumpur, he graduated from Curtin University and Universiti Teknologi MARA with a BA in Film & Television and a Diploma in Mass Communications respectively. Later on, he worked as an account executive at Leo Burnett advertising for a short period of time before becoming a newsreader for 8TV's Twenty Hundred News in 2003. 

He got married to actress Scha Alyahya on on 4 May 2012 with a child named Lara Alana.
