An American famous country music singer-songwriter. He is internationally recognized for his multi-platinum singles : " achy breaky heart " and "  some gave all " (1992) as well as his role in disney channel series " Hannah Montana" along with his on-and-off screen daughter Miley Cyrus. He has earned total of 41 awards and notably 2 american music awards and 1 billboard music award.

He started singing since childhood. In1990, he was signed to Poly Gran and released his debut album " some gave all " (1992) which was critically acclaimed. He ventured into acting career w" and then starring in film " Radical jack" (1999). He then collaborated with Disney channel in acting and penning ost. In 2007, he participated in the show : " dancing with the star and came in 5th place.

He married 2 times and had 6 children ( 2 of them are his daughter in law and son in law). He is father of famous American singer Miley Cyrus.
