David Letterman is an American multitalented celebrity who works as a television host, comedian, writer, producer, and actor. He is best known for hosting a television talk show for almost 33 years. After 41 years of working in entertainment industry, he decided to retire in 2015. Throughout his long-lasting career, Letterman has earned an uncountable list of awards and nominations as well as glorious titles. Most noticeably, he was named as one of the Greatest TV Stars of All time in 1996.

In 1980, he hosted a successful morning comedy show, The David Letterman Show which won 2 Emmy Awards. 2 years later, he continued holding the host position in a late night television show named Late Night with David Letterman
PERSONAL LIFEDavid Letterman was married twice. He has a 10 year marriage with his first wife, author Merrill Markoe. In 1988, he got married to Regina Lasko but divorced in 2009.
