Fahrani Empel

Fahrani Hasanah Pawaka Empel, better known for her stage name Fahrani Empel, is one of a few Indonesian supermodels who gathered success as at both national and international level. She is known for working for many international fashion shows in many places as Milan, Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore. Besides modeling, she also challenged herself with acting with a role in the 2007 film Kala but did not receive much positive comments from critics. In 2008, her acting was recognized and brought her a Best Actress Award in Indonesian Film Festival.

Fahrani made her first public appearance as a child actress who appeared in some television commercials at the age of 5. In her teens, she was determined to follow her mother’s footsteps and attend a school of modeling. She soon proved to be very gifted and graduated as one of the best students in her school. 

Fahrani was born to Frans Van Empel and Vonny Rahayu. Her mother, Vonny Rahayu, was a famous model and listed as one of the top models of the late 70’s. She has a younger brother named Giovanni Fadhillah.
