Gavin Free

Gavin Free (also called Gavino, or Gav) is a successful English filmmaker with numerous slow-motion videos on the Slow Mo Guys YouTube channel, which was launched in 2011, drawing over 275 million views and making him the winner of YouTube's On The Rise program. 

He has been currently working at Rooster Teeth Productions since 2009. Prior to that, Free worked as a data technician and camera operator for Green Door Films, the first production house in Europe using Phantom digital high-speed cameras as a source of slow motion. He then worked on adverts and music videos for U2, Enter Shikari, Klaxons, Kasabian, The Chemical Brothers, X-Press 2.

Gavin Free was brought up in Oxfordshire, England. He bought a house recently and moved in with his girlfriend, Meg Turney.
