Goo Ha-ra

South Korean idol singer Goo Hara is best known for being a vocalist of famous girl group Kara under the management of DSP Media . Besides the whole group’s activities, she also pursues her own solo career as well as acting career. She has starred in many dramas and television series as well as appeared in many variety shows. Throughout her career, she has won several awards and nominations, most notably, a New Star Award (2011) and a Philippine K-Pop Award for Hottest Female Idol.

Before becoming a piece of Kara, Goo Hara used to audition for SM Town and JYP company and work as an online model. She was discovered by DSP Media through her photos. In 2007, she debuted as a member of Kara. A year later, she launched her solo career with her film roles as female gang leader in sitcom Here He Comes 

In 2011, her romantic relationship with singer Yong Jun-hyung from Beast was publicized but the couple split up in 2013.
