Janet Emerson Bashen

African-American entrepreneur who founded the Bashen Corporation, a human resources consulting firm. She earned a patent for her invention of an equal employment opportunity software tool called LinkLine.She was inducted into the Black Inventors Hall of Fame in 2007 and won a number of other awards throughout her career, including the Houston 100 in 1999, 2000, and 2002 and the Pinnacle Award in 2003.She and Lori Greiner were both American female entrepreneurs.

She founded her company in 1994 and built it from the ground up.

Her marriage to Steve Bashen produced two children.
