Kakuei Tanaka was a Japanese politician who was the 64th and 65th prime minister of Japan from 1972 to 1974. Although being the most influential member of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party during the period 1960-1980, he subsequently became the central figure in a major political scandal, the Lockheed bribery scandals of 1976, which led to the collapse of his political faction. However, besides these scandals, he was known as the Shadow Shogun with the construction industry but never occupied the construction minister position, and his political-economic direction is called the construction state.BEFORE FAME
