ABOUT

Nat Yontararak is widely known as a Thai talented classical pianist, composer and music teacher. One of his most successful works is the piano sonata, "Glory to Our Great Kings", presented at the United Nations in New York as part of the commemoration of the fiftieth session of the United Nations General Assembly in October 1995. In 2006, Nat Yontararak won the Silpathorn Award for Thai contemporary artists in 2006.

BEFORE FAME

Nat began learning piano at the age of nine and enrolled in Pantipa Treepoonpol. At 16, he garnered the first prize in the first Siam Music Festival in 1971. After Nat graduated from Chulalongkorn University, faculty of architecture, he opted for a musical career by studying music at Goldsmiths' College in London. He often taught, composed and gave concerts, both in Thailand and abroad.

PERSONAL LIFE

Nat Yontararak got married Wongdeaun Indharavud, the great-granddaughter of Chao Keo Naovarat, the last king of Lanna.
