An American rapper, actor, television and radio host Nick Cannon has made inroads into the international market as host of America's Got Talent and is well known as the husband to R&B/pop singer Mariah Carey. BEFORE FAMENick Cannon was born as a son of James Cannon, a televangelist, and Beth Hackett, an accountant. He was accustomed to music as a child and was invited to perform on his father's public access show. Cannon formed the rap group "Da G4 Dope Bomb Squad" with his friend Steve Groves as a teenager. His debut self titled album was released in 2003 and included the single "Your Pops Don't Like Me.
