Romeo Santos is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, featured composer and former lead singer of the Bachata group, Aventura. As a member of Aventura, he was known as The King of Bachata. After releasing numerous top 10 hits with Aventura like Un Beso, Los Infieles, El Perdedor, Por Un Segundo and Dile Al Amor, he began his solo career in 2007. Since then, he earned a number of successes, typically having seven number-one singles on the Hot Latin Songs and eight songs ranked the first position on the Tropical Songs chart.
BEFORE FAMEAt age 12, he participated in church’s choir and also found the great love for bachata music from there. In the early 1990s, he together with his his cousin, Henry, and other two friends founded a group called Los Tinellers, which released an album Trampa De Amor before it was renamed to Aventura by the end of the decade.
