South Korean Hallyu Award winning artist Ryu Shi-won is an actor who is active both in Korea and Japan. He is known for starring in such popular films as To the End of the World, Secret and Goodbye Dear Wife. Throughout his career, he has earned various awards and nominations, most noticeably, a Japan Record Award for Most Popular Artist and a Special Award by SBS Entertainment Awards. Besides being an actor, he is also known as a singer whose albums were sold thousands of copies.
BEFORE FAMEBefore becoming an actor, Ryu Shi-won had studied photography for years. He first made his public appearance by featuring in the 1994 television series Feeling. Since then, he has gained much attention as well as received much offers by other directors. In 1995, he continued starring in 2 television series. In 1997, he was even on so high demand that he starred in up to 3 television series.
