Virada Nirapathpongporn is widely known as a Thai former professional golfer who shot to fame by winning the 2003 U.S. Women's Amateur, 2002 NCAA Individual Champion. More notably, she was voted the Nancy Lopez Award as the world's top female amateur in 2004.
BEFORE FAMEVirada Nirapathpongporn was born to Dr. Apichart & Dr. Supranee Nirapathpongporn. She started playing golf at the age of 10. Virada graduated in 2004 with a degree in psychology from Duke University. Her professional career came in June 2004 when she played on the Futures Tour and became winner of two tournaments in 2005.
