ABOUT
German-born poet, editor, and 1993 recipient of the Nicholas Roerich Poetry Prize. Her poetry collections include The Other Life, House Without a Dreamer, and Woman in the Painting.She served for twenty-two years as the Writer-in-Residence at Lyon College and was awarded the Lamar Williamson Prize for Excellence in Teaching during this period.Her poetry has been read on-air on The Writer's Almanac, a radio program produced by Garrison Keillor.
BEFORE FAMEThe child of American parents, she grew up in Texas, Colorado, New Jersey, and New York and studied at the University of Colorado and Boston University.
